| This mod is an attempt to remake Contra, one of top classic games, with OpenBoR. It's not 100% remade but at least basic and important gameplay is remade
Modes: 3 missions, 1 locked mission & 1 locked boss rush mode
Soldiers : Bill Rizer, Brad Fang, Probotector, Sheena Etranzi, Mad Dog, Bahamut & Lucia
Abilities:
- Shoot in 8 direction
- Slide (no invincibility though)
- Platform drop (disabled in some levels)
- Free and fixed shooting mode
- Carry 2 weapons but only use one everytime
Disabilities:
- Unable to climb walls
- Unable to hang to railing
- Unable to fire 2 weapons at same time
Features:
- 12 different weapons
- Health bar which gives 3 hit points for player
- Health item to restore health
- Motorbike mode
- Plenty pseudo travel levels both horizontal and vertical
- Challenging bosses and subbosses
- Save game is enabled for all missions but Boss Rush
This mod uses 4 buttons, don't forget to define key for each!
Bahamut has similar ability as the other soldiers for balance. His sprites are made by slash128

-Updated Black Mage; neutral Chain (fireball) has zero startup time, you can shoot faster
-Updated Archer; every other arrow is a Fire Arrow, and melee damage increased.

-Added Mystic Knight; a warrior mage that uses magic-enhanced swords.
-Added Amazon; a broad sword wielding girl who does massive damage, at the cost of being extremely slow.
-Added Paladin; a variant of Fighter with less power and more HP, and the ability to heal all players.
-Added Hylian; aka Link from Zelda. Has a boomerang, Navi companion, and can use the Spin Attack.
-Added 2 new Fields; Exploration maps like towns, but without healing or character swapping. Light blue marker on world map.
-Added 1 new quest
-Added 2 new hidden stages
-Added 1 new battle stage
-Added new enemies, bosses, NPCs, music, etc

-Added Valkyrie; a female Fighter who uses twin swords!
-Added Onion Knight; an Easy-Mode character for beginners!
-Added Monk; a martial artist with flying kicks!

-Added numbers that scroll up when you hit enemies. All RPG style!

-Changed Dragoon's color palette; now resembles FF4 Kain

| This is based off of the original fighting game Art of Fighting that comes to a Beat Em Up tradition.
Ryo Sakazaki hears that his father, Takuma, is killed (supposedly), and missing. Even his sister, Yuri, is kidnapped. So he contacts Robert Garcia and talked to him about it.
Notice: This is the fixed version and some changes were done by becker. However, there is just only a single bug/error or a few in it, so I will create an updated version myself on his fixed one or I use my own version.
Edit: The reason becker had to change the problem and named it as 'fixed version,' is because he was trying to avoid the problem of crashing the engine.
