I just saw the TV ad for it during the late night hours. I assume this is one of those 'YEAH RIGHT this really works the way they say it does' type of products. [note sarcasm please]. The claims appear great BUT I wonder if the actual 'performance' lives up to the 'hype'.

This product is called the FixMeStick. Supposedly all you do is plug it into a USB port, reboot your computer, and let the super-awesome, amazing anti-virus, anti-malware, anti-rootkit, anti-whatever program(s) do their thing. The trial version is like $40 and the Pro version is $300. It DOES state at the bottom of the webpage that this is NOT a substitute for a good anti-virus program but will clean stuff that gets past the anti-virus programs/systems. Anyone come across this little device before????? Is a bootable USB drive that runs before your computer boots so that it can remove malware from outside the Windows (or MacOS) environment and within a Linux-based environment. The FixMeStick's multi-scanner uses scanning engines from three anti-virus companies: Kaspersky, Avira, and Sophos, and accesses an additional set of anti-virus scanners online via OPSWATs Metadefender.

So unlike others at BC, I'm not a computer expert. I'm a marketing expert. And I watched your commercial at this link. The presentation in the commercial is very similar to known scamware that is sold to suckers.

I'm not saying your product is a scam. But you come across that way in the commercial.

And buying 3AM ad time puts you right next to those scam products. I also think your product is way too expensive for the average user and you would be better off marketing it strictly to business. So if this was my product, I wouldn't even try to sell it to end users because of the cost. It's not really affordable and I think saying it's affordable compared to taking a PC to a repair shop doesn't help you. Note to others: if you go to their website, Fix Me Stick is a subscription based product and that's what you are sold after the free trial.

It's higher priced than other subscription based products. So I don't know if your product works or not. But I don't like your marketing approach.

If the ad does well, then we'll invest more and move it to prime time. But anyone buying the trial can simply send us an email in the trial period to cancel renewals, and we'll never charge them another dime. Totally respect your opinion that the product wouldn't appeal to end consumers, but we've found otherwise- Walmart, The Source, Costco.ca, and many others are carrying it and selling to consumers and we get emails every day from ecstatic customers. Corey Getting it into retail stores is one thing. Selling large quantities at that price point doesn't make any sense. Concentrating on selling it in large quantities to large corporations would finance a price reduction to individual users that would be more economical. It can't be a mainstream product at the current price. And I can't emphasize enough how much I hated that commercial.
